no voice/ vocals in music or other audio playback solution

Some strange errors pop now and then and this particular glitch is a real travesty lol

Firstly, let me describe the problem in more detail so that you can figure out if this problem is currently affecting you. Audio in both music and video files are heard with proper background or theme, ambience sound, however vocal/voice sound is almost completely absent in certain areas and can be heard faintly, with fading in and out in other areas during playback. This effect glitch occurred completely by surprise in files that you may have already played before with no problem, and now effects certain files only while others of the same format play perfectly fine. This problem may also occur after installing a new media player, but is not exclusive to new program installations. and the most telling factor is if you have a stereo or 2.1 speaker system only or other non-surround speaker system.

Okay lets get down to it.if you did install a new media playing program uninstalling the program, will with a 90% certainty, NOT solve the problem ! reverting to previous restore points will also prove fruitless. The root of this glitch lies in the way audio systems installed on your PC interact and in particular codec configurations.

Step 1 - inspect the Sound Device tab in control panel, no matter which version of windows you have their will be a tab in control panel for sound devices. Open it up and check in there for a Speaker Setup tab that will allow you to define what type of speaker system you have connected to your audio output port, set it to headphone, stereo, or 2.1 , whichever applies. This is the speaker definition that WINDOWS uses only.

Step 2 - Codec configuration, whichever codec package you have installed there will be a console where you can define your speaker configuration, and now of course set it to headphone, stereo, or 2.1 , whichever applies. this speaker configuration is what your CODEC will use only.

Step 3 - is not universal to this problem, however certain media players have their own internal configurations that ALSO have speaker configuration options, again set it to what you have.

Those 3 steps would have fixed your problem for you.

The root cause for this glitch is that the files that have no vocals have in fact more than the standard stereo channels in them, in particular , AC3 class 6 channel (5.1) audio streams. what happened is that somewhere along the way, 1 of the 3 Above areas speaker configurations switched to, or was set to a 5.1 or higher configuration. thus the interaction between those layers created a bottleneck where at 1 layer all 6 channels were rendered but were output to only stereo or 2.1 by the other 2 layers. those dropped channels is where your vocals went and also explains the fade in/out as the faulty layer attempted to create the surround effect on merely 2 channels.

The biggest culprit is your codecs, which is where the problem usually comes up in.
Now, some codec packages DO NOT have specialised configuration console or the damn thing is so complicated you'd rather not try, i would recommend simply reinstalling the entire package, make sure to revert to their default settings when installed.

Hope that helps anyone who is having issues with this problem.

My time in Fiesta Online today.

I hadn't been online in a while and i sorta just vanished from the
radar. So when i decided to login this morning i ws pleasently
surprised to get "I MISSED YOU" as a whisper seconds after logging
even more surprising is that i didnt recognise the player from whom
it came even though the name appears in my friends list.

The confusion was quickly cleared when this friend informed me that she
used a Name Change from the store. i really liked the old name but i also
knew she hadnt so what the hell it's her name. When i logged TheAwakenedOne
was in Echo Cave and she was somewhere in Collapsed Prison,, so i went on mining
as if it was just yesterday i left, and i chatted to her in whisper. She
told me of the crazy things she had been doing to look for me, like putting
up LF> TheAwakendOne in party matching (which i laughed heartily at)

Now i have to say a few things about her first, she has a good sense of humour,
easy to chat too, can match me in a word contest, knowledgable about the weirdest
of things (like me), she has a husband and became a mother recently ( or rather
a while ago, it was a long time i was gone after all) Anywway we just kept chatting
like long parted friends, we covered family stuff, made jokes abouth them, and i
just kept smiling all the while mining and typing, we talked about work a bit
and she accused me of being an exotic dancer when i mentioned i worked at night now,
which i laughed alot at, i laughed even harder when she called her husband
"her imported slave"

It was great, we chatted almost nonstop for 2 hours straight, it was what i needed
honestly just a chat between friends. Of course i did get a whole load of ore too
from all the mining i did. she logged out, and i did the same a few minutes later.

Fiesta - Outspark

As many net jacked people have discovered, one of the most entertaining and enjoyable things to do on the net is to play an online game ... preferably free of course, but if it's paid-to-play, and you like it, then you pay! World Of Warcraft ring a bell anyone ?

But, i prefer free-to-play and a game that particularly caught my attention is Outsparks Fiesta Online release. Fiesta is an MMORPG that is almost toonlike in the depiction of it's characters and any anime watcher would feel right at home in it. The Fiesta world itself is also rendered beautifully, with large expanses and colourful textures, the world becomes a fairytale anime in motion with some rather eye catching designs and fluid animations.

I've been playing Fiesta for almost 3 years now on it's Apoline Server ( 6 servers are open currently ) and have 4 player characters that i use. My main character is Estora, a level 63 cleric, , and yes it is a girl character ( i prefer it that way) Oh wait .... i need to explain the classes :) well there are only 4 classes for a character the first being the Fighter class.

Fighters are your run off the mill barbarians and close combat specialists, they are the recommended class if you want to run into an area, hack and slash you way through it, and then stroll out with your sword (or axe) across your shoulder. Fighters are also excellent crowd control specialists and can maintain aggro over a large group of enemies at a time.

Clerics are the healers and support characters of the world, capable of recovering your health points (and life) as well as being masters of party buffs and being general do-gooders. playing a cleric however means that you are the slowest killer and leveler in the game too. But the good news is that other players always like to have a cleric to help and since players share experience when they are teamed together means that you wont be left behind :)

Archers are an extremely versatile class of the game and are a Kiters dream character ! this class revels in the glory of solo combat mostly because they can kill an enemy at range without getting their lovely hands dirty. Archers are also capable of attacking groups of enemies at once (Area of Effect = AoE) or attacking singly ... they poison or cause an enemy to bleed over time (Damage over Time = DoT) i've seen archers being chased by hordes of enemies that have been poisoned and die 1 at a time while the archer does a merry dance around an area ... infinitely humorous :)

Mages ... this class strikes fear into the heart of your enemies ... they are the the most powerful class in terms of damaging ability and their long range usually means that your enemies are dead before they know what hit them ! their attacks are entirely magic based and boast the most powerful AoE abilities in the world. Mages are the sting in any teams arsenal, however they do tend to die easily if you manage to get right up to them and punch 'em in the face, thats an IF i say :)

WOW ! i just realised that i've only touched the tip of the iceberg concerning this delightful game :) If you want to give this game a try ... go to the Outspark site here and register for the game , download it, and start playing , quick and easy :)
